Some say our pets choose us.. and that's exactly what happened a year ago when Mel met her rescue dog, Pyp, a husky/greyhound mix. She had an unfortunate start to life, but since being adopted by Mel is now loved dearly by her mum and fur-sister Delta. Congratulations on a wonderful first year together... I wish you many more!

Today I photographed a gorgeous litter of Dalmatian puppies... What a wonderful way to spend a Friday afternoon! Thanks to the owners Kath & Debbie for the fabulous opportunity and my sister for being a puppy wrangler... Even if we did have to do check her pockets before leaving to make sure she hadn't snuck one out!

Shooting on location is a great way to spend time outside, but filled with challenges. It's this time of year I wish I had a magic ball and could see the future... you know for the important things... like the weather! :)
