Cooper Films captured the Supermoon over Millthorpe last night. November's moon is illuminating the night sky as the year's closest and brightest. This phenomenon, known as a supermoon, occurs when the moon's orbit brings it nearest to Earth during a full moon phase. It appears approximately 14% larger and 30% brighter, positioned about 221,000 miles from Earth.
A spectacular sight and well worth seeing over the 4th - 6th November.
