I want a peacock in my wedding party. Clare & Tom tied the knot at Mayfield Vineyard, and I’m still not over it 🦚 The florals by Liza, THE COLOUR! It makes my dopamine receptors ✨⚡️🫠. (Not even hyperbole. Harmonious colours calm your amygdala and flood your brain with serotonin.) A photobooth producing absolute chaos (shoutout to the kid in the horse head), and an epic dance floor ft. Clare and Tom singing their hearts out to each other.

Unbelievably easy to photograph. I could list all the reasons why, but to sum up: their temperaments and the dimples.

I adore this family, who were incredibly supportive of me during last spring’s wedding season. Thank you 🥹(they know why.)

And not to be weird or anything, but if there’s a wedding happening in Manildra and I’m not photographing it, I’m probs crying about it. 🤭 Because ever since the one and only (ineffective and useless) stint I did for the 🦏 Rhinettes in 2012, Manildra has MY heart.

Hey so, you should buy this song. Because it’s beautiful. Because doesn’t expect anyone to. Or expect this post.

Of course you can stream it, but imagine if you actually bought it. Imagine if 10 of us did. 20. 50. For the price of a coffee. Or dinner. Or a pint at the Telegraph.

All those years ago when I photographed you in the yucca, I captioned it: “If you’re a bird, I’m a bird.” I just said that again recently for the first time in ages. And I think we probably both now know what I really meant was, if you’re on the spectrum, I’m on the spectrum 😝. I adored you then and I adore you now. Not least because you’re really, truly beautiful and human and fallible, like us all.

I felt so protective of you here. A fledgling perched beside the nest, waiting, waiting. And now! 💫 Don’t ever stop. Keep writing, keep singing, keep fu***ng trying, even when it feels pointless and hard. You have already achieved so much. And I know our town tends to favour its sporting heroes over its creative ones, but that can change, and if not by you, then who?

I use this audience for diddly squat. Well, that’s not true, I’d go into bat for Molong any day. But today, I would really love you to click the link in my stories and buy Haylee’s song. Or listen (but also BUY it.)

Hi Hugo! It’s Em and Robbie here. Hopefully you’re reading this yourself, but if not, thanks Mum/Liz for being the official reader-outer. We hope it’s not too boring being stuck in hospital. You’re at a really, really super good one, and we bet everyone on your team there is mind-blowingly amazing. We just want to say how much we love you. Heaps. And so does the WHOLE TOWN.
