Risk vs Reward lately as I’ve been capturing the weather and rugged coastline. This cliff is surprising high… so the perspective of the waves crashing is even more impressive! As long as it doesn’t know you over or wreck your camera! 😬🤞

More often than not the conditions along this coastline, along with the geographic features, make it too difficult and dangerous to attempt shots like this.

I was lying next to my toddler and he was full of questions about the thunder and lightning we could see out of his bedroom window. I decided to head out and quickly show him a storm from the comfort and safety of the car. There was lightning coming from 2 seperate storms, east and west. As I stood out in the rain and set up the tripod, Charlie said “be careful dad.” We lowered his window and chatted for a few minutes whilst the camera exposed these images. It was fun to share this with him. He said he was scared so we headed home to bed. As we arrived home I thanked him for being my assistant and how brave he was… “thanks Dad!”

“Taken a few weeks ago upon my post-Covid-19 🦠😷🤒 return home. Glad I jumped in the car and got to this spot just in time. We had some big storms over a couple of weeks… luckily I was able to get out during a couple of them. A few ⚡️cracks a bit close for comfort as before I knew it this storm was on top of me! 😬”
