Surprise chumps! I'm not dead.

If anything, I've been busy. In which I mean going interstate for 2 weeks and photographing as many trains as humanly possible.

More to come soon. 😛

Was looking through some of my unused footage and found this gem. Really gives off vibes like it’s the end of a video walking off into the sunset.

It was originally meant to be part of a massive project that unfortunately never came to be.

Back to 1985 and diesel/electric locomotive T334 which is now apart of our fleet is seen in the short lived ‘Ozride’ livery. The purpose of this livery was a special training video for the railways at the time.

Our steam locomotive K163 looking a bit sorry in Frankston yard back in 1973. K163 was being transferred it’s new home in Jubilee Park after being stored for 5 years in Ararat following withdrawal from service with the Victorian Railways. K163 would remain in Jubilee Park until being restored in 1986 and has been our star attraction ever since.

You can ride behind her every Sunday, we think K163 looks alot nicer in green now.

As an active volunteer of the railway, I’ve been more than happy to share some of my grandfather’s unique and home striking photos around the Mornington line!

Be sure to follow their page for when more pop up during their throwback Thursday.

If you haven’t considered or aren’t a member/volunteer, why not join up to be one whilst you’re there. The railway is a neat little group who are always looking for more people to assist with running trains and works behind the scenes!

Take it personally from me, 100% worth it

Welcome back to another

Here we see Steam locomotive K190 on a Vintage Train special at the original Mornington station in 1981, readying to depart. Today, K190 can be found running mainline tours with Steamrail Victoria, while the original Mornington station today is the site of the Mornington Central shopping centre.

Whilst at work today I took a quick step outside to capture R761 & A2-986, making their way to Bairnsdale for the weekend, with a Steamrail charter. It's not often you see steam passing by on a weekday, but it's a nice change for sure!

G'day all!

In today's video we dive back into the J.W Archives, and visit both the bizarre and more unique parts of the railways. Our journey starts on the Stony Point line in 2000; where a bunch of South Australian 'Red Hen' rail motors made their way to Stony Point.

Following this; we shift to the Puffing Billy Railway; where everyone's favorite Logging Locomotive; 'Climax'. Makes a trek up the line with a special train in tow from Belgrave. With a few other features from other locos as well, its an enjoyable watch for all; and a lucky catch by John.

G'day all!

In today's video, we trek over to Brandon Park, Glen Wavery; to visit the Waverley Model Railway Club - Men's Shed Inc.'s annual model train exhibition. With an array of layouts, scenes and trains from all across the globe; there's something for everyone. Not to mention, that this particular expo every year, holds a deep connection to me personally, through my grandfather.

Be sure to leave a like, comment and subscribe for more videos!

I'm pretty satisfied with the ratings the most recent video received. As expected, John's videos always seem to turn heads with viewers loving the footage of the older days. As much as I would love to post more of his clips more frequently; doing so would just run out of footage too quickly. Thus why I try to keep a rolling mixed bag of goodies with a nice compilation of everything. A bit of something for everyone.

Though If I'm being honest. You're going to start to see this channel lean down the path of more miniature railway videos very quickly; so you best buckle up for the ride!

I can't guarantee there'll be more model exhibition videos after this latest one due in August. Mainly because its too highly focused on, by practically everyone. The whole point of this channel is to stray away from the status quo; and kind of do my own thing, which creates a unique vibe that no one else does. Such as: Miniature Railways.

If you are however looking for more modelling content. I can definitely say there will still be videos. But perhaps not in the way you may expect... If you enjoy diorama's and step by step video's on how to make them; you'll enjoy what's to come in the near future!

But, if you are interested in a more casual approach to the modelling community, such as expos, club layouts, and locomotive and rolling stock reviews. I highly recommend checking out Will James: Railways page; as he covers all of that, in incredible depth and precision.

Now that the July videos are over and done with; expect the next 2 videos for August to be rolling out soon!

Be sure to save the dates: August 5th, & August 19th at 7pm, AEST.

Time to take a trip back to the 80’s again.

In today’s video we dive into the John Wilson archive again, to view a number of heritage charters across the NE and central western lines of Victoria.

G'day all. It's been a while since we last dove into my grandfather's film collection. Now seems like a great time to surface up some great footage of some s...
