Sneaking in one of the last autumn sessions of the season. It's been glorious, but is it just me or does autumn feel like the shortest season of them all? The trees are golden one week and bare the next!

Richard & Nicole. Half hour post wedding, and the commentary goes like this: “Your MY husband.” “Hey husband.” “Oh, hi husband.” “Come here husband”. Such a delight spending time with these two - hilarious, kind, generous souls. Totally warmed the room yesterday when the weather didn’t!!

Setting up for a client's headshots this morning, and little Miss 4 year old decided she was essential to the session and wouldn't leave with Daddy. She was actually quite helpful when setting up the lighting, but she also politely interrupted the session mid-way to tell me I needed to use my flash. Thanks Olivia, always mummy's helper.

I'm back! The last 12 months have been beyond challenging, beautiful, sacred and oh so hectic! The twins are now 1 year old, I'm back at work, and we're trying to figure out how to get more hours out of the day! I'm so excited to be capturing and creating again though. I have dearly missed this "work" which never feels like work!

I love the outtakes, and often include them in the photo galleries I deliver to clients. I get a giggle out of them, and I know they do too! But also I want them to remember that family life is messy and unpredictable—kind of like controlled-chaos—and that’s why we love it. ⠀
