Not so long ago, I spent an afternoon with Jane and Peter, their two gorgeous pups, Boaky and Maisie. Not to leave out Lana the big lion who preferred to keep a respectful distance from the camera.

We photographed around their beautiful home, shared a glass of wine afterwards, and chatted about life.

One of the things I love most about photography is the connection it allows me to witness, between people, the animals they adore, and the stories that unfold in the spaces they call home.

A little throwback and a shout-out to this branding session with Debbie from Nurture You Wellness. 🤍

It was such a beautiful afternoon creating these images of Debbie and capturing the heart behind the work she does.

I’ve also experienced Debbie’s Womb Hara Massage myself. It was deeply nurturing and a journey like nothing I had experienced before. At a time when I really needed it, I left feeling more connected, grounded and aligned within myself.

Truthfully, putting myself in front of the camera doesn’t always come naturally.
It’s much easier for me to be behind it.

But if I’m encouraging other business owners to show up, share more of themselves, and create imagery that reflects who they are, then I need to do the same.

These images were created for my own personal branding. A simple setup in the studio, with my phone in hand acting as the remote shutter trigger. Add a little movement, some beautiful light, and a bit of experimentation, and this is what unfolded.

I love that photography doesn’t always have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s about working with what you have, being curious, and giving yourself permission to create.

Your brand isn’t just what you do.

It’s your presence.
It’s your personality.
It’s the feeling people get when they connect with you.

Maybe this is a little reminder for both of us that it’s okay to step into the frame sometimes.

It’s noticing the details, helping someone settle in, and creating space for them to feel comfortable enough to be themselves.

That’s the part people don’t always see behind the camera.
