If you didn’t catch my last post, here’s the opportunity of a lifetime…

I believe every family (or even person), once in their life should have the opportunity for family images. A keep sake. A stamp in time. A memory to look back onto for many generations to come. So I wanted to offer something a little different.

I have five trips booked in between now and the end of the year. (All the details and locations will be below). Every day, on each trip, I’m going to reimburse one family $500 for their session. This will be drawn randomly. Some days I might only have three shoots. That means you have a 1/3 chance to save $500. Heck, my mini packages are $499 so I’m losing a dollar on those. But the odds are pretty high to have your shoot for free! Is there a catch? Yes there is but it’s pretty simple.

You MUST fill out an expression of interest from by 9pm next Tuesday 8th September. (Links are in my bio to do this). Please don’t do this if you have no intention of committing to a shoot. This makes me so sad and also wastes my time if you complete this and then ghost me.

Between Wednesday 9th and Friday 11th September, you will be offered a time slot. To be eligible for this cash back, you must confirm your time and have the session paid for by Friday 18th September, 9pm. Names will be drawn on a digital online ballot the following Monday the 21st September and all lucky winners will be reimbursed then.

You of course can book a slot after this cut off point but won’t be in the draw for the $500 cashback.

The locations and dates I’m going to are:

Victoria (Whole State) (24th-29th September)

Sydney, Canberra, Southern Highlands, Illawarra, Central West, Riverina (8th-13th October)

Toowoomba and surrounds (25th/26th October)

Brisbane/ Gold Coast (7th/8th November)

Gayndah, Monto, Biloela, Rockhampton, Mackay, Airlie Beach, Bowen (19th-24th November)

Don’t want a shoot but know someone who may? Please tag and share the bejuzus out of this!

I’ve had an itch and it’s been growing for the last few months.

Not to go back to shooting weddings full time (50 a year), but maybe 1-2 a month. I’ve been casually shooting a few this year and I’ve had three enquiries just in the last week to ask if I’m still open to shooting weddings next year. And the answer to that is yes.

Photography is one of those things that sometimes creativity can be reignited after a break and I feel I’ve done that and within me is an urge to capture that joy, expression and those moments for people again.

I’m not the new kid on the block within the wedding photography industry, but I am an old dog who’s still got a few new tricks up her sleeve.

Please send me a DM if you’d like to make an enquiry about your day.

Final opportunity to submit your interest in the west, central and north QLD trip in the second half of July.

I’ve been a bit absent on the socials because I really needed to consider what the next few months of business may look like for me. I’m also mindful of how the current situation impacts rural communities.

Having driven over 50,000km for shoots since the start of October, 50% of my offering is driving. Two weeks ago I did 4500km in one week alone.

And it’s not just the price of fuel that will mean my session prices will need to be increased, it’s also the availability of fuel that is more concerning. In my most recent trip to western NSW there were towns that had no fuel a fortnight ago.

This is a bit like Covid for me where pretty much overnight, I went from full time Wedding Photographer to unemployed. I also had to refund a lot of money during that time for weddings I couldn’t service due to border closures. It stung, a lot.

So I’m putting the big distance trips on hold for a little while.

I am committing to travelling down to Warwick, Glen Innes, Armidale, Walcha, Gunnedah, Tamworth, Merriwa, Bathurst and Orange from the 11-20th April.

I am also throwing in some session times in Brisbane and Toowoomba (and in between) in the next few weeks too.

This will be the last chance to book a shoot based on my current prices before they go up. To register your interest, links are in my bio.

I feel quite deflated by the current happenings in the world at the moment and I cannot imagine what 95% of my clients, being rural families are feeling.

I am so grateful for the support I’ve had in the last six months for my business, which basically started out of necessity upon unexpectedly having to return home from Botswana. It’s been a huge six months and I’ve seen a lot of bitumen and met a lot of smiley (and not so smiley toddler) faces.

Hopefully things will kick off again soon, with thanks, Edwina x

You know those weeks where everything goes wrong?

Well that was pretty much my week in South Australia and Broken Hill.

Almost ran out of fuel (due to a closed down service station), hit a roo, every single shoot except one was postponed or changed due to dreary weather, had massive tech issues and even when I was on the plane to leave Adelaide to head to Sydney, we got redirected to Melbourne.

It was challenging in many aspects but we made it through.

No one freaks out more about rain than those who live in the middle of nowhere…

I’m back in NSW now for the next couple of months. Want a shoot? Head to the link in bio to register your interest.
