I seem to be running creative photography workshops every 2–3 weeks at the moment, and I'm genuinely curious what you think.

Do you enjoy seeing new workshop themes announced here on Facebook and Instagram?

Do you like seeing the concepts, costumes, lighting ideas, behind-the-scenes planning and finished images, even if you don't attend the workshops yourself?

Or would you prefer workshop announcements mostly via email, with less promotion on social media?

I never want my pages to feel like one giant advertisement, but I also know many photographers enjoy following along for the creative inspiration and ideas.

Winter is the perfect season to slow down, get creative and learn to truly see light differently.

I’m excited to finally launch my brand new Light Painting with Still Life Workshop, a small hands-on session designed for photographers wanting to create beautiful, painterly still life images full of mood, texture and atmosphere.

Using long exposures and carefully controlled light, we’ll transform ordinary objects into cinematic works of art, all without needing a huge studio setup or expensive gear.

This workshop is all about:
• learning to shape light intentionally
• creating mood and depth
• understanding long exposure techniques
• slowing down and becoming more creative with your photography

And honestly… it’s one of the most relaxing and addictive forms of photography I’ve ever explored.

Perfect for beginners or creatives wanting to try something completely different this Winter.

What an afternoon!

Our first Aerial Elements workshop at Apollo's PlayGround was an absolute blast, with three talented aerial performers, five different apparatus, six photographers, countless costume changes, and a whole heap of creativity packed into a few short hours.

A huge thank you to Alyssa (), Natalie () and Immogen () for their incredible performances and endless patience while we photographed our way through lyra, silks, trapeze, cube and more.

A special thank you to Immogen as well, who stepped in at the very last minute after a few unexpected illness and injury hiccups threatened to derail our plans. You're an absolute superstar and we were so grateful to have you join us.

The photographers were treated to an incredible variety of poses, movement, costumes and aerial artistry throughout the afternoon, and judging by the smiles and full memory cards, I'd say everyone went home happy.

These are just a few of the images created during the session, and I can't wait to see what everyone else captured.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this such a fun and successful event.

Now the big question is...

Who wants another aerial workshop?

🚀✨ BABS IN SPACE ✨🚀

Some photoshoots are carefully planned.

Others are inspired by a slightly nerdy obsession with campy 60s sci-fi. 😆

I've wanted to create something like this for years, complete with silver boots, ray gun, big hair and retro-futuristic glamour.

Sandra absolutely nailed the role, while Rose Thorogood and Jolie Nguyen brought the whole vision to life with incredible hair and makeup.

Honestly? This one was just plain fun.
