A moment & a red jumper.

I’m starting to think being distracted all the time isn’t a flaw - Once you accept it, you can bend it into whatever story you’re already telling.

Was prepping the space for tomorrow.
Blue chair. Brown space, Then my neighbour walked past in the brightest red jumper, & I just had to ask her to sit there for a second.

That was it.

A moment & a red jumper.

You stop noticing your own shoes the moment you’re somewhere worth being.

Noticing them anyway. That’s the job.

Ideas develop through play.

Before I locked in the final shoot today, I spent time with light & diffusion & composition.
Testing what works.
Testing what feels right.

Exploring with materials I’d been wanting to work with, playing with how light moves through them.

Some things from home. Some pulled straight from my bag.. Nothing styled, nothing precious - Just objects to work through tone & texture & placement before I reached for the actual products.

This is how I think visually.
Studio time, coffee, the process.
Not a distraction from the work.
It’s the work.

What others walk past, I stop for.
The light.
The glass.
The way water bends colour.
This is how I see - It’s taken time to learn how to show it.

sips & clicks recently.

this week has included shooting, delivered galleries , had a delivery dropped off & now I’m working on creative concepts for approval - dream client with an out of the box brief - just back from Yamba & I documented feeling the whole time. I can’t help it.

I see something & I’m compelled to capture it, I think it’s my way of intaking what’s happening & I share it because I want others to absorb that beautiful feeling too. editing, planning, creating… back in the studio where everything’s constantly shifting… editorial modular space- it’s never going to be one thing.

Things coming in, changing, moving through - nothing lives there permanently, things get added as they’re needed & I love the feel of it every time something arrives or transforms… feeling very inspired in the space. … this is the week. this is how it’s moving.. and welcome weekend.
