I'm the photographer behind Caitlin Amy Photography, based in beautiful Newcastle, Australia.
For over a decade I've had the privilege of documenting weddings, elopements, growing families, and all the wonderfully messy, joyful moments in between. My approach is simple: less awkward posing, more genuine connection. I want your photos to feel like you.
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll usually find me chasing after my two kids, planning our next family adventure, or dreaming up creative ways to tell people's stories.

Living for inner-city elopements like this one at . Couples who prioritise what truly matters and roll with it—without getting caught up in traditions that don’t fit. Celebrations like Sarah and Adam’s sparked ’s idea for , our Newcastle elopement collab between close friends: Caitlin Amy Photography (me) and Jaya Bargwanna Celebrant (my pal).

While we love big weddings too, there’s something special about stripping things back and reconnecting with our intentions as wedding vendors, elopements are a beautiful way for us to do just that.

Denver and Max. A gorgeous elopement. It’s mid week, it’s easy, it’s meaningful and connected. What a dream it was for Jaya and I to be there with this incredibly romantic and lovely couple.

Remember Deni + Josh and that unforgettable photo shoot that somehow spiraled into me taking photos of them getting free tattoos from .bratt? Well, this was another wild moment from their session. Honestly, I don’t know how they do it—they somehow make every photo, every laugh, every ridiculous little detour feel effortless and full of heart. Seriously, this crew of humans is next-level top notch. And now that their wedding is over, I get to stalk their snowboarding adventures on instagram. These two are constantly having fun.

The Wilcox family have introduced little Luna into the fold. I shot Ivy and Aidan’s wedding almost 10 years ago and haven’t seen them for SO LONG! It was a joy to spend time in their space with such beautiful children in what is clearly a warm and loving home that they have created. LOVE 🧡
