A little reintroduction.
Hi I’m Bec, and because I’m practising what I preach, here’s some photos of me in front of the camera instead of behind it.
If I’m honest, I still find being photographed a little uncomfortable sometimes. Which is probably why I understand so many of the people who step in front of my lens.
The thing is, photography has never really been the point for me.
Connection is.
Whether I’m photographing a family, a wedding, or a woman building a business she’s poured her heart into, I’m always looking for the same thing:
The way you naturally move.
The thing that makes people say, “That’s so you.”
Because beautiful photographs are easy, but meaningful photographs are where it’s at.
The best images aren’t the ones where everything is perfect.
They’re the ones that feel familiar years later.
The ones that remind you who you were.
And if you’ve ever worked with me, you’ll know I probably spent as much time talking with you as I did taking photos.
That’s intentional.
Because before I can photograph someone, I want to understand them.
And after more than 20 years behind a camera, that’s still my favourite part.
Also I’m in need of some new branding photos asap!
