Hockey night in Sudbury. Sudbury Wolves wearing their St Paddy's green back in March.

Sadly, they lost the game - no howler howling a score that night. But it was still a fun Friday night out with the family.

I had some sad news at the start of March. My dad suddenly passed away - it was such a shock and I'm still processing it.

We packed our bags and made the voyage to my hometown, Sudbury, Canada for his funeral.

Upon descent into Toronto Pearson, my kids were delighted to see snow on the ground! What a treat - although this was only the start of our snow adventures!

It was a lovely trip, connecting with family and friends, all in a Winter Wonderland - although it was technically spring. My daughter had been asking for a trip to the snow, and so her wish was fulfilled.

Time - there's just not enough of it. Finally going through some images i took when visiting my aunt and uncle in Gananoque Ontario. Such a picturesque town- has that Gilmore Girls feels to it.

I was there back in October 2025, when they had their town Halloween street party! Just absolutely loved the vibe. Loved the town- just a pity I didn't have more time to explore the old heritage buildings. I got photos of some lovely old homes, but it was taken from a moving car and it doesn't do the old buildings justice.

Our friendly neighbourhood spider while we were out camping!
After a very official bush vote, we decided to let him stick around. Classic huntsman — harmless as anything, but guaranteed to give you a good fright when he suddenly legs it. Proper big unit too.

Another beautiful stay at KKnorrit Flat Riverside Retreat 🌿💦

The weather absolutely turned it on for us — sunshine, blue skies, and one super‑hot day that was easily handled with long, lazy dips in the river under the shady trees.

I even managed to sneak in some peaceful early‑morning time by the water, watching the wildlife wake up. One morning the Azure Kingfisher stopped by just long enough for me to capture a quick photo, though he spent most of his time darting around other parts of the river on the other days.

Such a stunning location, and the hosts are always so welcoming and accommodating.

Already looking forward to our next visit! 🌞🌿🛶

Since we dusted off the drone yesterday, I thought I would go through past images that haven't been touched since taken back when we did our mini outback trip in 2024.

These were taken at Tomcat Hill, Coober Pedy. Super lovely place and would highly recommend if your travels take you past this location. The owner is super chill and will take delight in showing his Opal Mine!

Photos taken by Jonathan. I did the editing using Photoshop.
