Hi again. From Wallsend this time, not the Uni. The main street has planter boxes that are decorated with different colourful mosaics. The light was bad, so this was the only one that I liked.
The mural is on a bike shop that has now closed. And I couldn't resist taking a photo of the coleus in someone's garden. Such bright colours.
I did feel awkward walking around with the camera around my neck, kneeling down to get a good shot - in the main street with people walking past. But that is what I intended to do today and got it done, so I got a little win.

One small step at a time. As long as you keep moving toward your goal.

Hi, just a little clump of mushrooms. I don’t know when they started getting called that because as kids we thought that mushrooms were the ones you could eat and toadstools were the ones that were poisonous.

I was thinking about how I work today and how to describe it, and came up with this:
Gentle and firm at the same time to give the feeling of safety.
Hard and yielding at the same time to allow change - to not get in the way.
Knowing when is enough to be able to back off and not get in the way.
Back off to allow growth - allow change to be the other persons.
Growth will not happen when there is too much intervention - learning requires feel, thought and integration. How can someone grow/learn a new way if you do it all for them. An example of this is a bird hatching out of the egg, it must have that challenge to become strong.
Everyone must find their own way - a body experience. Everyone is different and unique in their own way. Experiment with what is that way. With bodywork we can only work with what is already there and allow the body to work out the best way of using it.

So, I am there to give support, encourage and allow the body to unwind under my hands. My hands talk and listen. When I am working, they feel massive.

It is so good that I found a way to use my autistic sensitivities to help people and don't have to try to block them out. Just a bit of rambling, but I still get excited about work every day and I have been doing it for about 25 years!

Hi, today I went around the university again to see how big the red mushrooms got. They were still quite small. I looked them up and found out they are native to Australia and New Zealand and called ruby bonnets. The other one is a type of leucocoprinus. I had both my phone and camera with me this time. The mobile is better at getting into odd positions. Camera is better used planning shots which I am not a fan of, but it’s good at longer and wider shots that I might look for when I am out walking.

Still learning. Everyone can be a teacher for someone.

A bit of action in the garden about a year ago. A golden orb spider with a big meal. I think it was a moth. I had to stop and find out what all the movement was.

It's definitely damp underfoot around Newcastle today. Lots of these coming up.

Hi, walking around the neighbourhood today: the ants 🐜 are telling us it’s going to be wet for a while. They have built more multi storey buildings than I have seen for a while.
There are minor flood warnings around and coastal areas are very wet already. Not sure how far inland the rain has gone.

Hi, this is an AI design. I usually don't use it. Old fashioned I know, but I try to keep things real. I wanted to see what I had to ask to get a post similar to what I wanted.

Today I got something done that has been holding me back. I needed to sort out my internet, but that meant talking or chat writing on the computer (which I will avoid if I can). I found out that I had only half completed my login and couldn't go any further because I set up the wrong two factor authentication number. Now that's done, I can get on with other things, although tomorrow is a big day as well, but not as stressful as the online chat thing. I have to get a bone density scan, probably a tooth extracted and talk with my psych. See what Wednesday brings.

Another me moment

Ah yes, I totally get this post. No interrogation is what I like. I work with people, but that is different.

Ah yes, I totally get this post. No interrogation is what I like. I work with people, but that is different.

Trauma survivors often get in the habit of spending a lot of time alone, because alone is safe— relatively, anyway. Alone is controllable. We understand alone. We don't have to stress about alone.

People are unpredictable. When we're alone there's less risk to manage.
