It is only with the incredible support of friends and community that I can make the most of opportunities that come my way, like the wrap around on today’s Daily Telegraph. Keeping rural life in front of a wider audience is so important to me. Being able to put Bingara and its people on full pages in national newspapers with a quote from the PM tossed in is a bit fun!

Thanks Kelly White and family for helping me over the line with this one.

It’s another eve of another ‘forecast’ rain event and experience tells me not to place the bet. But, experience also tells me that I’m strong enough to last the distance.

Our little pocket of the North West Slopes and Plains is sitting anything but idly. For a farmer, it is the busiest time. - feeding, selling, weaning, sorting out water…

Grateful to have been through 2018/2019, the lessons learned then and the planning for this that we’ve been able to do.

Aligning with people and brands that match my values. Working hard behind the scenes to have this as the core of my business. Sometimes, it feels a long time coming. Always, that wait pays off.

Happy Mothers Day to all the mums I know who support and help me along the way - the reluctant models, the advisors, the voices of reason and the cheerleaders!

For every season she’s there.

Through early mornings, changing weather, and everything in between - she shows up.

Today we celebrate her.

Happy Mother’s Day.

Fuel for the day - painterly sunrise skies.

Autumn has finally arrived and that means slower mornings, softer skies and the occasional wisp of winter air.

We continue to dream of rain but it doesn’t hurt that most mornings and evenings are blessed with colour and the sound of birds who’ve come to enjoy the respite of our garden sprinklers.

This is what community looks like. From across the north west, 150 people came together to support Gravesend Public School at their biennial fundraising event – The 100 Mile Long Lunch. With around 20 pupils, the school sure punches above its weight when it comes to a thriving P&C, good will and packing a punch in the fundraising department!

Whilst previous events have raised enough funds to take an entire school to the snow and install an outdoor kitchen/ garden, this year organisers hope to fund an additional teacher to enrich learning in the classroom.

Gravesend P&C sure know how to put on a premium event with providing an incredible, fresh and local menu. Generous donations meant a wildly successful and entertaining auction. And honestly, where else could you raise your hand for 1000L of Glyphosate and end up in a bidding war?

Here’s to rural life and small communities coming together. And, here’s to capturing your next event in an intimate and authentic way.

Nature’s taunting. Small promises, lousy on delivery.

Heading into winter, we have started off-loading stock, supplementing and making a multitude of difficult decisions. There may be record rainfall not so far from here, yet locally there have been record sale-yard numbers across the northwest.

Feeling grateful to have done the hard yards in 2018/19 and knowing we can make decisive choices this time around.

Lots of glimmers like the strength in our community and these beautiful sunsets that reliably grace us every evening.
