Craig Kinder Food Photography

Craig Kinder Food Photography Hello fellow food lover - my name’s Craig Kinder. Hello and welcome fellow food lover. My name’s Craig Kinder. And I love food. All have won friends.

I’m a trained photographer with thirty years experience in commercial photography, specialising in food photography. I’m a trained photographer with thirty-years experience. My home base is in Perth, Western Australia but I work around the country and the world. I have a lovely wife, who’s also a photographer, two girls that keep me on my toes and a dog with no sense of decorum. I love shooting fo

od; from paddock to plate. I’m inspired by the energy of chefs, and the passion of food producers. I’m driven by the challenge of each shoot. Making each different from the last. The collection of cookbooks I’ve photographed and produced is just about to crash through the fourty-barrier. Some have won local and international awards. If you need professional food photography for a cookbook, magazine or advertising campaign, you can trust me to deliver on time and within budget. Please get in touch at hello[at]craigkinder.com.au to discuss your project.

My favourite subject and favourite client. It may look like a studio shot but no, this photo is crafted with controlled natural light on the back of a Ute in the orchard. 👍💯🍊

Blood oranges, taking citrus to the next level. 🍊

With their striking colour and vibrant flavour, this exciting zesty fruit is making itself at home in the Southern Forests.

And our climate has a part to play in that incredible colour. Blood oranges contain naturally occurring pigments called anthocyanins, which can develop more strongly under cooler conditions. Those cold Southern Forests nights can help bring out the fruit’s signature red colouring, with the intensity varying depending on the variety, growing conditions and the season.

Citrus is also adding another layer to the incredible diversity of produce grown across the Southern Forests. As growers continue to explore crops and varieties suited to the region’s unique growing conditions, blood oranges are a vibrant example of just how much can be grown here.

And while their colour might steal the show, they are just as exciting in the kitchen. Eat them fresh, squeeze them into juice, toss them through salads or use them to bring a sweet, zesty hit to seasonal dishes.

Bold, bright and a little unexpected, another Southern Forests crop worth getting excited about.
