As I finish editing the final photos from Royal Canberra Poultry Show , I can't help but look back with a smile at all the wonderful people I had the privilege of meeting and photographing along the way. 🥰

From the dedicated exhibitors and passionate breeders to the hardworking volunteers, judges, stewards, and supporters who make this incredible event possible, every conversation, laugh, and shared moment made the experience so special.

One of the greatest joys of photography is capturing not just the birds and the competition, but the friendships, community spirit, and genuine passion that bring events like this to life. Looking through these images has reminded me just how many amazing people make up the poultry community.

Thank you to everyone who welcomed me, shared their stories, and allowed Leafy to be part of such a fantastic event. It has been an absolute pleasure documenting your hard work, achievements, and unforgettable moments.

One of my favourite parts of photographing shows isn't just the incredible birds on display – it's the amazing people behind them.

Royal Canberra Poultry Show was exactly that; a gathering of passionate, talented, and dedicated people who truly make the show what it is. From seasoned exhibitors to first-time competitors, volunteers, judges, and supporters, every person brought their own unique personality, knowledge, and love for the poultry community.

As I wandered around with my camera, I was reminded that while the birds may take centre stage, it's the people, friendships, stories, and countless hours of dedication behind the scenes that create the heart and soul of an event like this.

Thank you to everyone who stopped for a chat, shared a laugh, and welcomed me into your world. It was an absolute privilege for Leafys Lens to capture not only the beautiful birds but also the wonderful faces that make the Royal Canberra Poultry Show such a special event.

Well... after an amazing few days away capturing all the excitement, friendships, champions, and special moments at the Royal Canberra Poultry Show, I came home with an unwanted souvenir... a nasty cold! 🤧
Unfortunately, it has meant I've had to jump straight back into work and recovery mode, with very little chance to sit down and properly play with all the incredible photos I've taken.

But don't worry — I have started working through them, and all the photos will be ready very soon! 📸✨

In the meantime, I couldn't resist sharing a few more sneak peeks. There are so many beautiful moments, proud winners, wonderful families, and amazing memories that I'm excited to share with everyone.

Leafys Lens at the Royal Canberra Poultry Show 🤩🤩

What an absolute honour it was for Leafys Lens to attend the amazing Royal Canberra Poultry Show!

From the moment we arrived, there was excitement everywhere – incredible birds, passionate exhibitors, dedicated judges, beautiful food, and so many wonderful people who all share a love for chooks. 🐔❤️
One of the highlights was meeting so many new friends and catching up with familiar faces. The atmosphere was fantastic, and it was truly inspiring to see the hard work, dedication, and pride that goes into every exhibit.
A huge thank you to Allan for inviting me along, and a very special thank you to the amazing organiser Melissa Bonnitcha for asking Leafy's Lens and Brundee Blooms to cater for the officals at this wonderful event and capture all the memories through photography. Your support and trust mean so much.

What an honour it is to capture all the beautiful birds, passionate exhibitors, talented judges and the wonderful community spirit that makes these agricultural shows so special. There’s something truly magical about country shows… the friendships, the hard work, the generations of knowledge and the people who pour their hearts into what they love 🐓✨

Watching someone step in front of the camera, a little unsure at first, and then slowly seeing that confidence come alive — it’s magic. The shift, the glow, the moment they start to feel themselves… that’s what I love .
I truly believe that when people feel safe, seen, and celebrated in my presence, it allows me to capture the moments that matter most. The real smiles, the quiet confidence, the energy that makes them them.

That’s where the magic is ✨ And that’s why I love what I do so much.

Spending time with Allan today arranging the most beautiful Mother’s Day bouquets filled my heart in the best way 🥹💐

Watching each bouquet come together with so much love, care and creativity was truly special. Every flower felt like it was chosen with someone’s mum, nan, wife or special lady in mind ❤️

How lucky are the beautiful women receiving these stunning blooms this Mother’s Day. Not just flowers, but little bundles of love, appreciation and thoughtfulness made by caring hands 🌸
So grateful for these moments, the laughter, the teamwork and the beauty that surrounds us at Brundee Blooms .
