The most beautiful intimate wedding with Makyla & Corey back in April.

M&C always knew they wanted a small wedding and were initially chatting with me about eloping somewhere coastal and remote in South Australia.

Over time their plans changed - as they naturally do with weddings - and they settled on an intimate beach wedding with 16 guests and their groodle (groomsman), Beau.

The day came around and the wind was blowing such a gale at the beach that the signage and flowers were barely holding in place. We made the call last minute to change the ceremony location to the back garden of the air bnb. I knew Makyla was dreaming of a beach wedding so it was a hard call, but everyone was so glad we did (especially grandma).

We got setup and it turned out to be a beautiful ceremony led by Tessa Hamilton. We took photos before the sun set, and they headed off to Maxwell winery for a sit down dinner. I joined them for a few flash shots at the bar before leaving them to enjoy their evening.

It was a perfect day. Not as planned, but still perfect.

A big thanks to Jaime Antonello • Wedding Photographer for the general support on the day, and help in running up the beach carrying flowers in the gale. It was good fun.

A green colour story for Tess & Andrew’s wedding, thanks to the beautiful backdrop of Cobbs Hill Estate in the Adelaide Hills.

Being an early December wedding the foliage was so lush and the fields hadn’t yet dried out over the hot summer months.

They were also really lucky that the weather turned out to be perfectly warm and sunny, making the green colours appear extra vibrant.

I know Tess always dreamed of a beautiful green garden wedding, she loves flowers and growing her own vegetables at home, and her wedding day really spoke to her own personal taste.

The dress code was colourful cocktail style and black tie for the guys giving a more elevated feel.

The day itself was a combination fun and energetic, and heartwarming and romantic, and just generally good vibes all around!
