This is a shout out to the Driftwood Cafe team.
We started our businesses in the same week of 2013 and from the get-go it was obvious Ty and the crew at Drifty would make it work. Not only that, they would go on to thrive. They employed many, many locals, supported so many local sporting clubs and organisations and gave us all a wonderful place for coffee catch ups and family gatherings for birthdays, anniversaries and get togethers. The seat by the fire was highly sought after! Ty and Rach were always front and centre when it came to promoting Ocean Grove to the world. All this while raising a beautiful family of their own.
As a local business owner myself, I can fully understand how dificult it must've been to make the brave call to close Driftwood. The Terrace will never be the same.
To Ty in particular, I will miss your passing words of encouragement at my front door and our general chat and banter. You're a good man and I know this will provide fresh opportunities for you. Enjoy the break!
