With Dark Sky Tasmania – I just got recognised as one of their top fans! 🎉 For those who don't know Dark Sky is an international movement aimed at alert people to light pollution. If you look back up the river at night you will see the diffuse glow caused by all the various light sources in Hobart. Down here, if you look south from Goats Bluff and the beaches you can clearly see the stars, auroras and the Milky Way (if there's no cloud). Light pollution can also cause problems for wildlife.

Just near Steppes on the Central Plateau there's a stand of long dead trees. This one appears to be looking back at me

not a panorama, and not from Tasmania. Around the town of Derby in the Kimberley region local artist Mark Norval has created a number of sculptures. This is known as The Outback Footballers - for this and other works see Norval Gallery

Another panorama shot - this for what might be called North South Arm, if you were silly. Nice to have a reasonably good day to get the Mavic 2 Pro up for this. Earlier it was doing more risky stuff at Goats Bluff. Too windy at Shelly Beach today.
To see the shot best to click on to open, and if available go to full screen mode.

Definitely not near South Arm! A panorama shot in dense wet forest at Loongana in the upper Leven valley

This is a view from John Point near South Arm, looking over to the entrance to the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, on a winter day. Three merged shots from a camera drone. Do I need to say tat it was a perfect day?
