It’s my little girl’s birthday tomorrow and for the first time, I won’t be waking up with her on her special day 🥹

So I’ve poured all my love into preparing the house, creating magic, and making sure that when she walks through the door after school, her mind is completely blown ❤️🤍

Did you know when a child is photographed intentionally (not just snapped randomly), it sends a subtle message “you are important, you are worth noticing.’ It also helps reinforce a positive self-image and a feeling of belonging within their family.

I’ve decided that every time one of my babes has a birthday they are going to get their very own mini shoot. Despite him not being super smiley, Cody actually really loved running around with his giant balloon and I have no doubt it made him feel extra special for his upcoming big 5th birthday! 🤍

The amount of times I have heard ‘we are so awkward in front of the camera!’ Honestly, these tips are fool proof! The more you engage with your children, play games with them and get a little silly, the more natural your photos are going to turn out. I can’t get those ‘candid’ shots if everyone is standing around stiff and uncomfortable! Photoshoots are the opportunity to spend time with your most favourite people so my advice is to be present with them and have a good time!
