As someone who’s always been a little snobbish toward the typical iPhone photographer. I really hate to admit that I did NOT take these on a DSLR..

Taken on an IPhone 14 Pro with some touching up in the Lightroom app. It’s by no means my favourite work but its enough to save me carrying my camera everywhere 🤔

I take a what some people call a “keen” approach to shooting and I don’t really mean that in a good way..
I typically sit right in the danger zone or not far from it to get the shots I want.

For the past 5 years I’ve always managed to roll out of the way when things went sideways but this weekend went a little different.
I’d been suffering through the flu that’s currently going around so I didn’t have the Energy to maintain a “ready to get the F*** out of the way” position which I usually would. Instead I was sitting on my lazy ass.
So when things did finally go pear shaped.. well there wasn’t much I could do but throw my hands up and hope for the best.

Luckily enough, neither me or the rider were harmed but it highlighted the importance of A, being ready to move when you need to or B, not being in the danger zone in the first place.

Will I change my tact to shooting? Probably not but hey, always be ready for the worst.
