Did I regret taking my camera to breakfast, much to the amusement of fellow diners at beautiful Puri Dajuma Beach, Eco-Resort & SPA, West Bali, when this beauty came flying past - no I did not! 😆 I think this juvenile White-bellied Sea Eagle was almost regretting this large fish though - he was noticeably out of breath trying to get it back to his lair 😄

One of my mentorship students was asking about heat haze, so I thought I'd share some tips of what you can - and can't - do about annoying heat haze, along with my work-around to help you come home with a shot, even in challenging conditions.

Heat haze is the invisible prankster of photography. You line up a crisp shot of a distant bird, a shimmering horizon, or a dramatic landscape… and the result looks like it’s been gently stirred with a spoon.
