"Taking a moment to reflect amidst the beauty of nature. 🌿🕊️

Capturing birds in their natural habitat reminds me of life's challenges and the beauty that surrounds us.

Sometimes, quiet contemplation is all we need. 📸✨

🚫💔 Taking a stand against domestic violence!

It's time to speak up and demand accountability from our local members and federal politicians and court houses.

Here's why:

Domestic violence affects millions worldwide, tearing families apart and leaving scars that last a lifetime. Too often, we hear heartbreaking stories of victims suffering at the hands of their abusers, with the cycle perpetuated by a lack of accountability in our justice system.

Did you know that many offenders flagged by the police end up back on the streets due to lenient court decisions?
This is unacceptable. We need to hold our courts accountable for their actions and ensure that those who pose a threat to their partners or families are not released without proper supervision or consequences.

Every voice matters in this fight. By speaking out and demanding change, we can pressure lawmakers to enact stricter policies and provide better support for victims of domestic violence.
It's time to stand together and say enough is enough!

Together, we can make a difference.

Let's urge our local members and federal politicians to prioritize the safety of our communities by implementing measures to prevent domestic violence and hold offenders accountable.

🙏💪

GET IN THE GAME

The NSW government understands the importance of tackling mental health and helping improve the lives of NSW communities by supporting State of Mind workshops. The NRL’s State of Mind program has announced its continued partnership with the NSW government.

On 18 May 2021, NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro and Minister for Mental Health Bronnie Taylor were present to make this special announcement, where they were able to experience first-hand the powerful impact that the program has on its participants.

These programs have been created in conjunction with expert partners, headspace, Lifeline, Kids Helpline & Black Dog Institute, with the aims of:

Using the game’s reach, profile, clubs, and players to help remove the stigma surrounding mental illness. Connecting Rugby League communities (participants, fans, and volunteers) with our mental health partners and local service providers Stimulating help-seeking behaviours throughout the Rugby League community by providing appropriate literature and resources. Educating and informing communities through an interactive face-to-face session to improve mental health literacy.

Over the past 4 years, the NRL has been using their voice, in consultation with Australia’s leading mental health experts, to make a difference to a big issue that impacts our game and our communities – mental ill health.

Mental ill health doesn’t discriminate. In Australia, almost 1-in-2 people are affected by mental illness. It’s Australia’s single biggest health issue and as Australia’s biggest sporting community, we can and should play a pivotal role in improving the outcomes of those affected.

The NRL State of Mind program has created a range of workshops to help improve the mental health and wellbeing of our Rugby League communities.

The State of Mind program has also launched in Western Australia as part of the NRL and Western Australia commitment to complete the four-step program as well as in the Northern Territory.

And this is why I love my work.

Today on the way back from a photography brief just outside Fifield NSW, I come off one of the many dirt roads and what do I see?

A line up of classic rally cars in the Classic Outback Trial waiting to begin one of the 33 stages covering over 1700km in the central west.

Me being me, I pulled over parked and grabbed my camera. Started taking photographs and then
one of the cars rolls up to the start point all quiet and sneaky, I thought they were saving fuel as it’s a little pricey at the moment. BUT no this CLASSIC RALLY CAR was an EV..
YEP and ELECTRIC RALLY VEHICLE.

Can you guess which one is the EV before you look at the last Photograph?
NO CHEATING lol
