Photo 5 of 5 – Looking up the Injidup Natural Spa inlet. I think this is my other favourite in the set. Caught the wave crashing through whilst the foreground water is perfectly clear and still. And the sky has a little bit of texture. It is very similar to the other one but still worth a post. It's funny though how so many photos get distilled down to so few.

Photo 4 of 5 – Looking up the Injidup Natural Spa inlet. Straight after a wave washed through. Love the alignment of the cloud in the centre of the channel and the movement of the water post a wave washing in over the rocks. The clarity of the water was really nice.

Photo 3 of 5 – Looking up the Injidup Natural Spa inlet. I do like this angle (next few photos are similar).

Found the water was calmer and clearer this way. Though did have to crop a little harder to keep some people out of the shot.

A cheeky photo behind where I was staying went I was doing cape 2 cape MTB earlier this year. Building under the stars – can you just imagine how nice it would be to live with a night sky like this literally outside your back door! Wasn't even an ideal night and it certain produced a stunning milky way.

Shot 3 of 3 – I think this is my favourite of the 3. My headlamps spill illuminates a decent section of Lake Clifton's Thrombolites in the foreground. The Milky way is really nicely balanced with the jetty and the sky. Actually probably one of my favourite Milky Way shots to date – lots to take in beyond just the milky way.

Shot 2 of 3 – Whenever there looks like a good opportunity to get out my overpowered Rogaining headlamp – I am absolutely going to. It nicely illuminates one of Lake Clifton's Thrombolites - Also managed to get some excitement from the other photographers there wondering if the beam would have worked for their photos (I am pretty sure it blew out/over exposed their photos) – Love how it brought out the green in the water and got lucky with the milky way core positioning being directly over my head.

Shot 1/3 Been sitting on this photo set for a little while now. Saw a night with perfect conditions and found a dark site close by and went for it. Lake Clifton Thrombolites - wasn’t sure what to expect but hopefully by picture 3 you'll see what I got! Was an awesome and early night – home by midnight I think. First shot is the traditional milky may type of shot.

Sometimes you have to get up really early to get the best spot on the beach!

In fairness out of all the photos I took I only got 1 which I felt was worthwhile. Would've been disappointed if I didn't get this one. Was a very early morning and walking 2km along Swanbourne beach towards City Beach to get to the darkest point wont be repeated any time soon.

Earlier this month - I had the pleasure of going over to Cairns to watch these two nut cases take part and complete the Cairns Ironman 2022. As you'll see it was an awesome day and thanks to Rae for keeping me company as I bounced us around the course to see/support and photograph them.

Well done Luke, James and Manue, who feature in the photos.

Of course I would get a Milky Way shot when I went down south and there is nearly no light pollution. Conditions where not ideal - only a small window I could take the shot, Smokey horizon due to prescribed burns, lights of the grape harvesting in the distance... Still got the shot. This is the best one wont post the others here. PS sorry about the slackness in my posting!
