No celebration of the 1957 Chevy would or could be complete without showing a small part of the career of the man himself, Victor Bray.
These shots have Victor in 1996 at the biggest car show in Townsville, 2009 at Palmyra Dragway in Mackay, and 2007 at the Motorplex.
Also a shot from Gladstone in 1986, where it all began for me.
And as a bonus, when Victor had the burnout car at Summernats in 2008.
Lots of great memories of an accomplished and very successful racer.
What are your favorite memories of Victor?

Graeme Frawley stepped into the seat of the Donnelly's '57 after Jake went full time in his alcohol funny car.
This is from the 2019 Winternationals.

The responses to my previous posts showcasing the iconic 57 Chevy has been really great to see, so continuing with another today we see Jake Donnelly from 2017 when he was running in supercharged outlaws at Willowbank.

This one has me beaten. Went looking for info but not tech savvy enough to find any.
Taken at the opening meeting at The Bend in South Australia in 2023.
The only other 57 wagon I have seen like this is in QLD.
Who knows the team and driver please?

Continuing my homage to the great 1957 Chevrolet today, and this stunner visited the Perth Motorplex to contest the Goldenstates Championships in 2024.
Ned Karanovic crossed the Nullabor from St Agnes in SA with his Top Sportsman '57 and ran in Super Sedan where he qualified 8th in the field with a 9.062sec at 237.44kph.
In eliminations he went out in the second round thanks to an early - 0.007 light

If I was a promoter I would insist on having at least one 1957 Chevy Belair in the staging lanes.
The recent Winters would not have let me down, with this Top Sportsman '57 campaigned by South Australia's Dave Foster.

Finishing off a great week that has seen lots of activity and comments on the posts, and much positive feedback, for which I thank you.
Today's mystery , to me at least, is this funny car driven by Debbie O'Rourke. Another team, bike or car that I only got to see if a race meeting could be included in trips to Perth before I moved here full time in 2020.
I never got to see the Torana, or the Monaro live, but was well aware of their antics on the racetrack.
This is another shot from the 2007 trip caught at the Westernationals.

This is one that I suspect has an extensive history.

This is the only time I have seen this car, so have no info, although I think the driver's surname may be a part of the story.
I got this shot at the 2023 Westernationals of Tim Hudson running in supercharged outlaws with a 526cuin JP1 power plant aboard.
The result sheets show this was the only showing for the event with no time or speed recorded for this pass.
Over to you now to educate me and others, and thanks if you do.
