⚠️ GAZZANATS EXCESSIVE OIL DOWN RULE

Moving forward, Gazzanats will be following suit alongside ThrasherNats and BrasherNats by introducing a deduction for excessive oil downs as part of our burnout judging criteria.

We all know mechanical failures can happen that’s motorsport. This rule is aimed at excessive or preventable oil/fluid downs that require major clean-up of the burnout pad and cause unnecessary delays to the event.

Excessive Oil/Fluid Down = 20 Point Deduction

Oil downs can take considerable time to clean up, impact every competitor waiting behind you and can throw the entire event schedule out also.

We still want everyone to send it hard, but we ask all competitors to make sure their cars are properly prepared and maintained before hitting the pad.

This will be incorporated into the Gazzanats 2027 judging criteria, with the updated judging sheet and competitor rules to follow.

Keep it off the pad, keep the show moving, and keep it fair for all the competitors behind you! 🔥

RED CENTRENATS 12 PRO BURNOUT UPDATE:

After the Pro Burnout awards at Red CentreNATS were announced it was brought to our attention that the winner Ryan Pearson in HOLDON may have contacted the wall.

We now know this to be true because Ryan is the one who alerted us and we thank him for his honesty.

The new top five is:

1st Robert Cottrell - 4DH8RS - $30,000
2nd Jake Myers - S1CKO - $10,000
3rd Jono Kelly - 3FIVE5 - $5,000
4th Pete Thomsen - MY80XD - $3000
5th Britt Kilby - HAMMERD - $2000

All competitors will be awarded full prize money for their standings.

The incident happened in a place where the judges could not see it. It wasn't clear on the video - which was watched by the judges before finalising results.

This decision is not because people disagree with the judging. It's because Ryan told us he hit the wall.

Don't blame the judges - they judge fairly, and can only judge what they see, and they totally support the decision.
