Blink and you miss it.

The kind of summer moment you don’t realise you’ll miss until it’s gone.

Warm nights, salty skin, and that last light stretching across the water…

It might be over for now — but I already can’t wait for its return ☀️

South West sunrise mission… that wasn’t 😅

Alarm went off.
I showed up.

You know those mornings where you drag yourself out of bed in the dark, full of hope…only for Mother Nature to say, “not today.”

No colour, no sunrise — just soft light, moody skies, and the peace of the ocean doing its thing.

Turns out she was having the lie-in I probably should have had 🤣🛌😴

Liquid gold ✨️

Capturing the way light dances on the ocean will always feel a little bit like magic to me.

It’s never still, never the same twice. JUst constantly shifting, catching, disappearing.

Blink and you miss it.

But when you catch it… it’s everything ✨️🤩

this is what finding it again looks like 🌊💙

There’s a quiet rhythm to this place.

The kind that doesn’t ask for attention… but rewards you when you give it time.

The water softens around the rocks, the light shifts gently across the surface, and everything feels just a little more still.

I keep coming back here, not for the same photo, but for the feeling it gives me.

And somehow, it’s never quite the same twice. 💙

Smiths Beach, Margaret River — finding my way back… and forward 🌊

This trip to Margaret River felt a little bit different. We were celebrating our two-year wedding anniversary and a few big life milestones… and for the first time ever, we left Poppy at home.

(Don’t worry — she was very well looked after by my parents visiting from the UK… and thoroughly enjoyed being in charge 😂🐾)

We stayed in a quiet little log cabin, spent our days exploring national parks, and I packed all my gear with one goal in mind — to get back in the ocean.

When I first met my husband, I was that girl… always in a wetsuit, camera in hand, chasing the coastline. It’s actually one of those photos that made him swipe right in the first place.

But over the last few years, life shifted. I run a business that has nothing to do with photography, and I’ve been working hard to grow it — and somewhere along the way, I started struggling to find the balance between building that life and holding onto the parts of me that I love.

Add in a back injury, then a broken arm that turned into a much longer recovery than expected… and slowly, that version of me felt further and further away.

So getting back into the water at Smiths Beach last week — even with a heavy camera setup and a slightly sore arm — felt like more than just a shoot.

When I came out of the ocean, my husband said,
“I haven’t seen you smile like that before.”

And he was right.

Because for the first time in a long time… I felt like myself again.

This photo isn’t just a sunset to me. It’s a little marker of that moment.

Have you ever felt like you lost a part of yourself for a while… and then slowly found your way back? 👇💙

When we share a secret
When your eyes sparkle
When we're just us
When we don't have to talk
When I watch you sleeping
When you remember
When I don't have to explain
When you walk into the room
When we are in a crowd
When I am by myself
When you are just being you
When you make me giggle
When I hear your heartbeat
When you reach for me
Even when you're not looking

That's when I love you ❤️🍒✨️

Happy anniversary my love
