Riding alongside those who were suffering as I was, was an experience worth capturing….. you could feel it in the air all around you. If it wasn’t for the level of fatigue I felt near the end, I’ve have done another lap, just to soak it all in.

2026, how good!!!!!

I have no words this year to explain quite how challenging, yet incredible yesterday’s experience was.

As many of you know, rather than driving to locations, I wanted the whole experience and to be immersed…… which is precisely what I got (and am paying for today) after FIVE’s 1700m of elevation.

As a photographer, I truly can’t think of a better way to see everything this race has to offer. Incredibly hard lugging kilos of camera gear over the terrain on a bike, but also very rewarding.

Perhaps next year I’ll put more thought into my nutrition plan 😜 but the suffering was all part of what I can only say is the best event I’ve ver had the pleasure of riding and or shooting.

Congratulations to everyone who took part, and the incredible team who put this huge event together.
