Finally posting these photos!! These were taken in May 2024. Both my first time seeing the aurora and photographing it! It's something I've wanted to see my entire life so I was absolutely ecstatic.

We first noticed the bright red/pink glow with the naked eye heading down towards Dwellingup and stopped on the side of the road to snap a few photos (just crazy bright, no strong beams visible from that spot) , but the real show stopper was the burst later that night. Beams seen with the naked eye!

I was lucky to have witnessed it not once, not twice but THREE times in the past 12 months. I was a bit late the second time and didn't get any decent shots, but I have some shots I took near home last week that I'll post up as well soon.

In Australia, these stunning Monarch Butterflies are known as the Wanderer, and while they don’t migrate as far as their North American cousins, they still travel impressive distances across the continent. 🦋

Here is a drone panoramic shot of the Taylor Inlet at Nanarup Beach. What a beautiful sunset we got before heading off back home to Perth! Our camping trip got cut short because of the weather turning and a couple of friends getting sick, but still a great trip nonetheless.
