A little honesty from behind the business 🤍

July was tough, and I’m so grateful for your patience while I navigated it.

For the open inboxes, delayed galleries, messages waiting for replies and the times I had to say no when I normally would have said yes.

I’m learning that boundaries are okay. That I don’t have to do everything, all the time, to still care deeply about what I do.

Thank you for giving me the space to figure that out. It means more than you know 🤍

This is your sign to capture your little on in the first space where you became a family.

Fresh moment sessions are so special. Relaxed, unposed, just capturing the moment in time, exactly how it was and felt.

If you ask me if there's anything I regret, it's this. Those first few days can often feel like a blur. Those days in the hospital were so special.

Where I became a mum.

And I wish I had moments that captured it.

Maybe she doesn’t actually hate the idea of maternity photos.

Maybe she just doesn’t love the idea of being seen right now.

She doesn’t feel like herself.
Her body feels unfamiliar.
Her face looks different.
She’s swollen, uncomfortable, and waiting for the day she suddenly feels beautiful again.

So she tells herself she’ll book later.

When she feels better.
When she looks better.
When she feels more confident.

But sometimes, that day never comes.

And I think that’s why maternity photos matter so much.

Not because you need to feel beautiful every second of pregnancy.

Not because you need to love your body.

But because YOU deserve to remember yourself in this season, too!

The woman who grew the baby.
The hands that held the bump.
The body that did something extraordinary, even when she didn’t always feel extraordinary herself.

You don’t have to wait until you feel ready.

You just have to let yourself be part of the memories 🤍

amongst the other 147 images I couldn’t narrow down because apparently “too many favourites” is my brand 👋😂

🤍 The 'Hey Dad, grab mums hand and go that way'

🤍 The 'Shut your eyes, it'll feel awkward'

🤍 The 'Dad get in there, but don't look at me'

And yes… these are actual sentences that come out of my mouth at almost every maternity session 😂

I promise I know it sounds strange.

You’re probably standing there thinking, “Is this photographer making us do the weirdest thing ever?”

But then I show you the back of my camera and suddenly it all makes sense 🤍
