The Andromeda Galaxy (M31)
After months of waiting for Andromeda to rise into a good position in the sky, it was finally time — and it did not disappoint. Captured from Quairading using the Seestar S30, this image is the result of 204 ten-second exposures, stacked and processed with GraXpert and Siril.
Andromeda is our nearest major galactic neighbour — about 2.5 million light-years away — and the largest galaxy in our local group. Seeing its spiral arms and dust lanes come to life during editing was incredible. The Seestar continues to impress with just how much detail it can pull from such faint objects.
