Happy Mother’s Day

Today is for the mothers.

The ones carrying the mental load no one else sees. The ones running on little sleep, giving endlessly of themselves, holding families together in a thousand quiet ways every single day.

The mothers in the thick of little years. The mothers navigating teenagers and watching their babies slowly become independent. The grandmothers. The stepmums. The women longing to be mothers.

And also those for whom today feels heavy.

Those carrying grief, loss, distance, complicated relationships, infertility, heartbreak, or the ache of someone deeply missed. If Mother’s Day stirs difficult emotions for you, I hope you move through today gently and know that your feelings belong here too.

Motherhood is beautiful, but it is also weighty. Tender and exhausting. Ordinary and sacred all at once.

And yet somehow, despite all it asks of you, you continue to show up with love.

I hope today you feel celebrated, appreciated and deeply seen for all that you carry — both the visible and invisible.
