Pause... even just for a moment, for a minute.
Observe if you need to but just give your baby a moment. Each time you step in when they stir or you think they shouldn’t be awake so you play that role is another time you’ve re affirmed to your baby that they can’t “sleep” and they need you to play that role. Then when they learn that because that’s what you’ve repeatedly done we wonder why they won’t sleep without it.
