Soooo.... Sheeran played Perth this weekend... When the tickets went on sale Rhys asked if he could go, honestly the thought did not appeal, so I was slightly relieved when I discovered the show was sold out (what a shame) Then Shane Pinnegar asked if anyone wanted to review for 100% ROCK Magazine, so trying to be a good father, I said yes, so I could take Rhys along.

When the approval came through, and I gave him the good news that we now had tickets, his response... I dont like Ed Sheeran anymore, do we have to go?....

So I made him come to the Stadium on Saturday anyway, If I had to attend so did he! He wont admit it (he's too cool for that now at 14) but I think he enjoyed himself and I even caught him singing along at one point.

Regardless of all that, here are some words I wrote in the early hours of Sunday morning after the show....

Hi Everyone and Happy New Year!!!
2025 was an interesting year, with a bit of a surprise at the end, so not as many shows shot this year, but I still managed to tally up around 65 acts. Real highlights of the year included the S*x Pistols in a thunderstorm at Fremantle prison, and the intimate Evanescence side show in Perth!

Huge thanks to Bruce at AMNplify Shane Pinnegar at 100% ROCK Magazine and Stu McGill at Stormrider Touring for setting up these shows and arranging access and accreditation.

After a successful debut show, we thought it was about time we reintroduced ourselves.......

Firstly, meet Mick Vinnie. Our frontman and master lyricist behind the microphone.

Mick is a seasoned vocalist and multi-instrumentalist whose Heavy Metal and Hard Rock influences have defined his career in the vibrant local music scene, growing up with the sounds of Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Slayer and Metallica.

He was strumming his first guitar at 11 years of age and belting out tunes in school talent shows, inspired by the raw energy of pub rock and a multitude of live performances.

Mick brings a wealth of experience to the band and a powerful presence that connects with the audience during his live performances.

Stay tuned over the next few days, as we give a unique insight into each member of Parabelum.
