When we didn't stop the fun to take photos... the fun became the photos.

Because, I'm not chasing perfection. I'm chasing connection. The laughter, the mayhem, the cuddles and the personalities.  

When nobody's stressed about keeping the kids clean, quiet or perfectly behaved.

When parents trust me enough to follow my lead and let their family simply be who they are.

That's where the good stuff lives.  For a newborn session with 4 boys it's in popcorn target practice, arm wrestling, basketball, puppy chaos and plenty of baby brother snuggles.

So if you're worried your kids won't sit still, or they're too loud, or there's "too much going on"...

I promise you... you're probably exactly my kind of family!

The brief…. “Images that tell a story”.

Not the posed kind. The honest kind.

The kind that unfolds quietly between breaths; in the way hands find hands without prompting, and in moments that don’t announce themselves but stay with you long after.

My goodness but this time of year in Perth feels like a pause button has been gently pressed. The light softens as it falls, the air slows everything down (except for yesterday 🤣), and the smallest gestures somehow feel more tender under its glow. Seriously... just take a look at those skies!

The cooler days invite cosy layers and an unmatched closeness, and in that softness, in that stillness… the story is already there.

Why didn't anyone tell me that if I finally set my phone up to record some behind the scenes, that I'd capture such gold as this 🤣

Clearly my family sessions are a hoot and the kids just can't get enough of the limelight! You can grace my behind the scenes footage with your cool moves any time girls... You gave me a good giggle!!!!

One day, this house will quite possibly be “the old house.”

The nursery will be painted over and the hallway you paced at 2am with a sleepy newborn in your arms will belong to a different season of life, maybe even a different family.

That’s why in-home newborn sessions mean so much more than just convenience or comfort.

They capture the place your baby was first loved, first cuddled, first brought home to. The home that held the beginning of your family as you know it now.

Years from now, these photos won’t just remind you of how tiny they were…

They’ll be a fond reminder of where it all began.
