There's always something special about photographing a show with an audience, and an audience of young tykes no less. Was a joy to see the kids react to the hilarity and joy that was Adventures in Neverland. Larger than life characters playing some catchy beats, all while enjoying the outdoors, not a bad day at the office.

Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Melbourne Fringe are fast becoming my favourite times of the year. I love getting to capture new shows every season, often returning to work with repeat artists who I adore.

Loved getting to work with Melbourne Shakespeare Company on their Summer season's of 'Much Ado About Nothing' and 'Adventures in Neverland'. Working on a natural light show brings a fun new challenge that you don't get with regular lit stage shows. You can go from working with harsh direct sunlight to soft overcast lighting within moments. And turns out the sun doesn't really care what angle you want the light coming from, you just have to make it work. A lovely afternoon in the sun getting my steps in.

Last year I had the pleasure of sitting in on a rehearsal for Double Homicide, an original music by Owen James and Ryland Sack. Here are some snaps from the behind the scenes and a run of the first half. I had to wait another month before seeing the full production to find out how it ended, but I can confirm it was absolutely worth the wait. I hope we continue to see more original theatre coming out of Victoria, there are some incredibly talented creators out there!

It's that time of year again where I realise I've forgotten to share almost all of the work I've done over the past 12+ months... so time to get caught up.

This explosion of colour was ACTion's 2023 production of The SpongeBob Musical: youth edition 🧽🐠 Every year I am blown away by the caliber of talent of these young people and 2023 was no exception. This was also the last ACTion production for Harry Palin (SpongeBob) and Ally Smedley (Sandy). I've loved seeing them perform over the years and am excited to see what they do in the theatre world from here.
