Early this morning i was up the lighthouse..I heard alot of shrieks and watched the paddlers have a humpback come up besides their boats..surfaced a few times then a huge body slap..more shrieks were heard. Close encounter for sure!

Yesterday afternoon both the Osprey and Brahminy kite spotted 3 large fish on the rock shelf below the lighthouse. The Osprey chased the brahminy away and took prime position on the rocks above the fish to keep an eye on its prize. It was there for quite awhile. Flew off several times, circled and landed again..still hadn't gone down to the fish when I left.

I knew there were two humpbacks close together playing but was amazed to get a double breach...on video. Still bit out but plenty of activity and will only get better.

Yesterday morning I was sitting up the lighthouse looking at the birdlife when a Raven landed ..it was soon chased off by both the Magpies and a small Raven. As there little whale activity i decided to take advantage of the dry weather and re walk a track from last week. There was plenty of bird life and had the company of an Eastern Yellow Robin along my travels.

Wow what a morning. I took myself for some happiness to Mountain View Sunflowers as I do each season. I always stop off at Hillville African Watusi on the drive in and visit Drew and his amazing garden creations. If you're visiting over the next few Saturday please stop off and take a look.. The sunflowers are amazing and they've done an amazing coping with the rain. Still rows of flowers yet to bloom and so many content bees enjoying them...don't worry too much about them as they are too busy to worry about you!
