Holding onto these moments! 3 years waiting to come home to the states after Covid ⏳ My mom was able to come to AUS and travel with us back to the 🛫USA and help out on the plane rides (she’s the bomb). That first hug after so long brought so many emotions 😭.
Despite the minor colds the kids picked up on our 30+ hour travels (thankfully not Covid!), we’re enjoying every second while we’re here!
PS tip for the Wild Animal Park (Safari Park) in the summer - stay and take the last tram ride, its like a private ride and the park is empty after! Beautiful lighting too 😜✌🏼

Grateful... This is how I feel when one of my first time fam's tell me they were referred by another one of my amazing families 🤗. Yeah, that happy dance happened! ✨⁠⁠

And this part may sound a bit odd, but after being in Port for almost two years, you get used to everyone's accent (because let's face it, I'm the one with an accent here)... The first time I spoke with this family, I heard another US accent! When you've been away from home, just that little bit of familiarity was so comforting! ⁠⁠

The more we chatted during our session the more similarities we kept finding between our stories. These are the connections I'm continually grateful for. ♥️
