These swimmers on Nuns Beach (or bobbers as I like to call them because there is a lot of bobbing, giggling, chatter, and not much swimming) are usually in three distinct and separate groups. Everybody was talking to everyone today wherever I went. It was fantastic!!

Taken in the smoke-filled gloom of the Port of Portland, this shot is very eerie. I could hear ropes holding the ship to the berth creaking. It almost looks like the Titanic. This ship is berthed alongside Lee Breakwater and will be moving across the other side of the Port during the day to load its cargo of sawn logs.
