Lewin's honeyeater - we always seem to have these guys in the garden year round - their call is described as a rapid, loud "machine gun" rattle or a staccato chattering. They are one of the most frugivorous (fruit eating) honeyeaters and rely on fruit for a significant part of their diets. ❤️

Little Brown honeyeater - he possesses one of the loudest voices in the bush and changes his mouth colour to indicate breeding status. Inside of the male's mouth is black during the breeding season and pale yellow for the rest of the year. Juveniles have a bright yellow and swollen gape. ♥️

This shot is definitely not taken in my backyard 🙂 A group of Pelicans can be called a "squadron", "pod", or "brief". They are descendants of an ancient group of birds - the earliest known pelican fossil was discovered in France and date back 30 million years. ❤️
