We had so much fun searching for the perfect Harry Potter-inspired accessories, outfits and little details, and planning how to bring the theme together. Mum even brought some special pieces of her own, including the adorable red suitcase ❤️🧳

Happy Father’s Day! With some of our favourite Father and Child(ren) images ❤️

(Wait for the very last one - my personal favourite 🙃)

In Australia, today is about celebrating the dads, grandads, stepdads, carers and father figures who help raise good humans.

The ones who teach by example.
Who show up.
Who make us laugh.
Who patiently answer “why?” for the hundredth time.
Who take their children on adventures, play silly games, tell terrible jokes and somehow make the ordinary moments feel special. 🥰

Because being a father isn’t just about providing. It’s about being there — listening, guiding, encouraging, protecting, teaching and, most importantly, spending time together.

And while Father’s Day may look a little different around the world, the sentiment is much the same.

Father’s Day as we know it began in the early 20th century, with the first recognised celebration taking place in the United States in 1910. It gradually grew in popularity and eventually spread around the world.

Interestingly, we don’t all celebrate it on the same day! 🇦🇺🇺🇸🇬🇧
Here in Australia, Father’s Day is celebrated on the first Sunday in September, while the United States and many other countries celebrate it on the third Sunday in June. Some countries have their own dates and traditions too, often influenced by religious or cultural customs.

Different dates, different traditions — but the same beautiful idea:

Celebrating the people who help shape the next generation. ❤️

So today, let’s celebrate the dads who are - or aren’t - in the photographs… and all those precious moments in between.

Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads, grandads and father figures. You matter more than you know. ❤️

And maybe today is a good reminder to get in the picture with your kids, too. 📸

👶✨ Why is 8–14 days often the perfect age for newborn portraits?

Those first two weeks are incredibly special — and they pass far too quickly. 🤍

At around 8–14 days, newborns are usually still very sleepy, naturally curled up and more comfortable being gently posed. Their tiny fingers, little toes, soft features and all those beautiful newborn details are exactly what we want to preserve. 🥹

And this is such a precious time to capture just how tiny they really are — because they will never be this little again. Those tiny hands, curled-up legs and delicate little features will change so quickly. 💕

📅 That’s why it’s important to book a planned session date based on your due date. This helps us reserve the ideal time for your newborn portraits, while still allowing flexibility if your little one arrives earlier or later than expected.

Of course, every baby is different, and there is no “wrong” time for newborn photos. We always work at your baby’s pace, with lots of patience and a strong focus on safety and comfort. 🤍

🥹💕 Toddlers don’t need to know how to pose — they just need to have fun!

Behind the scenes of this beautiful newborn session, you’ll see plenty of cuddles, giggles, movement and a little toddler magic… followed by the precious final images. ✨👶

We never expect toddlers to sit perfectly or “perform” for the camera. Instead, we gently guide them, turn the session into playtime and give them the freedom to be themselves. 🧸💗

A little continuation from one of our previous posts — because there were simply too many precious moments not to share! 🥹

This gorgeous little boy celebrated his first birthday surrounded by so much love, with Mum and Dad by his side, during a beautiful winter sunset at Fagan Park. 🌿🌅

The soft golden light, the beautiful winter scenery and, most importantly, the love between these three created so many heartfelt moments. 🤍

From cuddles and giggles to those cheeky little expressions that make this age so much fun… these are the memories we absolutely love capturing. 🥰

Happy 1st Birthday again, little one! 🎈💙 We hope you always look back on these photographs and feel just how loved you were in this beautiful season of your life.

👶🤍 WHAT IF MY BABY DOESN’T SLEEP DURING THE NEWBORN SESSION?

Don’t worry — they don’t have to! 🥰

Every baby is different, and that’s perfectly okay. Some newborns sleep peacefully for most of their session, while others are wide awake, curious and ready to take in the world. 👀✨

And you know what? We love both!

We never force a baby to sleep just to get a particular photograph. Instead, we follow your baby’s cues, allow plenty of time for feeding, cuddling and settling, and capture all those beautiful little moments naturally. 🤍

Those wide-open eyes, tiny expressions, adorable yawns, little stretches and the way they look at Mum and Dad can make some of the most precious photographs of all. 🥹

There is no “perfect” newborn session — there is simply your baby being beautifully, uniquely themselves. ✨

So if you’ve been worried that your baby might not sleep… breathe! 🤍 We have plenty of patience, and we’ll work with your little one rather than against them.
