A little throwback to the photography retreat from October last year. 🤍

One of my favourite parts of the day was photographing these beautiful wedding cake moments. From the sweet, quiet glance before the cake cut to the playful icing feed, it was such a fun reminder that not every moment has to be perfectly posed.

A little behind-the-scenes secret… these two weren’t actually a newly married couple! They were two separate models brought together for the workshop, and they absolutely nailed the chemistry. ✨

I’m already counting down until the next retreat. There’s something so inspiring about spending a weekend learning, creating, and being surrounded by other photographers who share the same passion.

There comes a moment when your first baby isn’t quite the baby anymore.

They’re about to become someone’s big brother.

Still reaching for Mum’s cuddles.
Still fitting perfectly in Dad’s arms.
Still resting their head against the little sibling they’ve only met through gentle kicks.

This season is so beautifully bittersweet—holding onto the family you’ve always known while making space for the one you’re about to become.

Yesterday afternoon at Headlow, I had the privilege of documenting this chapter for Jess and her beautiful family. A chapter filled with quiet anticipation, gentle embraces, and all the love that’s already waiting for the newest little member of the family.

Soon there’ll be four hearts in these family photos instead of three. 🤍

Photographing your best friend is different.

You don’t just see the smiles.
You see every chapter that led to them.

Watching my beautiful friend love her first little girl while waiting for her second has been one of the sweetest things to witness.

These moments won’t last forever, but these photographs will.

A reminder that before she became a big sister, she was simply Mum’s whole world.

And somehow, in just a little while, that love won’t be shared…
It’ll multiply.

I already know these sisters are going to have the most beautiful story.

Sunday evening, golden light, and the honour of capturing one of my favourite little families as they prepare to welcome their second baby girl.

Watching your best friend become a mum again is something so incredibly special. Seeing the excitement, the quiet moments, the cuddles, and all the love that already surrounds this little girl before she's even here... it's a privilege I'll never take for granted.
