Coral Tooth Mushrooms Photo macro texture revealing the coral like forms of these amazing fungi that in my imagination also look like soft snow flakes. These ones are homegrown.

The collection includes macro textures and creative still life compositions of full fruitings of these mushrooms that resemble miniature oceanic landscapes.

Summer Chocolate Oyster Mushrooms Fans (a detail of this photo pictured) has been awarded Silver Winner in the Japanese FPA Professional Food Photography Awards 2025.

I feel incredibly grateful to have a photo included in the awards and the exhibition alongside such beautiful food photography from around the world. Congratulations to all the photographers and heartfelt thanks to the FPA team.

This photo will be exhibited in the Professional Food Photography Awards 2025 Winners Exhibition to be held at the National Art Centre Tokyo Japan 21 Jan - 2 Feb 2026.

❤️Red Lychees are a symbol of love, happiness & good fortune - my wish for all of you this Christmas 2025❤️

Lychees are in season in Summer in Australia and often part of Christmas celebrations. At our house lychees do not last long usually eaten fresh as soon as thay arrive in the kitchen. Sometimes I preserve a few in shrubs and use in drinks and cocktails, but not this time. I actually had two attempts at photographing these: the first batch were eaten up straight away after school by my boys proudly sticky with lychee juice.

These close up details are from my Red Food Jewels Series photographed on black satin and velvet. The first two framed with vintage silver, others in the series use red velvet and smaller lychees.
