It was wonderful working with Ellery. He was warm, easygoing and happy to trust me through the whole process, which is honestly half the battle with any portrait. We worked slowly, found his angles and ended up with lots of great images. Loved having him in the studio.

A soft and feminine portrait of this gorgeous musician, shot against my pink textured backdrop. She is also a music teacher and needed something warm and welcoming for her students, so we leaned into all that lovely light and her beautiful smile.

Can I be honest? Black and white will always have my heart. When you take the colour away, there is nowhere to hide. You are left with just the person, the light and the feeling. That is where the real magic lives for me. An editorial series like this one reminds me why I fell in love with photography in the first place. Simple, honest and timeless. These are the shoots I could do forever.

This shoot was such a team effort. Those are always my favourite kind. Lila was in front of the camera and the wonderful Nicole Groch was working her magic on hair and makeup. The three of us built each look together as we went. When everyone is on the same page like that, the whole thing just flows and you can feel it in the photos. Muse | Mitchell 💖

Here is what blew me away about Mitchell. He can shift the whole feeling of a photo with the tiniest change, just a flicker behind the eyes and suddenly it is a completely different story. Watching him move through emotion like that was something else. Every frame had so much depth to it, the kind of range a casting director dreams about. It takes a real actor to give that much without ever overdoing it. I could have kept shooting him all day.

You know that feeling when you just click with someone straight away? That was Janessa and me from the very first frame. She gives so much to the camera. Our energies bounced off each other the whole way through. She is a beautiful actress and an even more beautiful human. I am so glad our paths crossed. I cannot wait to see what she does next.

Can we talk about Harry for a second? Because this shoot was such a good one. The thing that really struck me was how much he can say with just a look. One small shift in his expression and suddenly there is a whole story in the frame. That is the mark of a real actor, the ability to bring genuine feeling to every shot. Keep an eye on this one. 🤩
