Katie {Beautiful Bump}
After chasing sunshine and rescheduling around the wild weather, Katie and Christian finally met me at one of my favourite spots, Sarina Beach, to capture this beautiful chapter of their story… and Katie’s glorious bump.
They even brought along their two super cute pooches who absolutely stole a few moments and made the whole session even more special.
I truly felt for Katie being in the final stretch of pregnancy. It really is an extreme sport at that point… especially when you can’t even see your own feet anymore. She handled it with so much grace.
And Christian… absolute legend. Not only did he show up with the best energy, he also carried a whole log into the perfect spot without hesitation. The kind of commitment we love to see.
Thank you both for trusting me to document this moment in your journey. I already know your next chapter is going to be something really special, and I cannot wait to capture the moment when two becomes three

{Braydon loves Ashleigh}
After rescheduling this shoot three times thanks to some very enthusiastic Queensland weather… we finally said “stuff it” and went for it.
And yes… it absolutely POURED.
But honestly, this is why we have backup plans, a sense of humour, and a willingness to just roll with it. (Plus a quick 20 minute car hide when it got a little too wild 😅)
These two cutie pies are officially engaged, and I loved every second of watching them laugh, play, and just be completely themselves together.
And can we talk about the rain droplets for a second… because I’m low key obsessed. There’s something so magical about it all.
When the Queensland rainy season decides to really show up, sometimes the best thing you can do is dance in it 💛

{The Magic of Black and White | Tom and Amy Jo’s Wedding}
Here is a smoother version that still keeps your voice and story, Sarah, but reads a little more polished:
We see the world in colour, and I for one absolutely love bright, vibrant tones. But there is something undeniably magical and timeless about black and white photography.
I began my career shooting on film and learned how to process and develop both colour and black and white film while studying at Southbank TAFE. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for how powerful light, shadows and texture can be when colour is stripped away. In black and white, you can truly see the intention behind a photographer’s vision.
Even now, when I am shooting a wedding, there are moments I capture knowing they are going to be an absolute banger in black and white.
So please enjoy the beautiful wedding of Tom and Amy Jo once again, but this time through a different lens.

SarahHearts turns 16 this year ❤️

Lately my memories have been full of old shoots, and wow, what a season that was. There was a time in my career when I was completely obsessed with creating styled shoots and having them published in blogs and magazines. I poured my whole heart into them… and I was lucky enough to see my work featured both nationally and internationally.
So let’s wind the clock back to 2016, I was 28, had zero back pain and permanent love hearts in my eyes.
Truthfully? I’m still that girl. Just a little more banged up, a lot wiser, and with even more stories to tell.
Styled shoots don’t happen without an incredible team, and I’m forever grateful to the amazing local vendors who trusted my vision and helped bring it all to life. It really does take a village.
And to the young pups coming through, don’t be too critical of the edit 😉 One day you’ll look back and ask yourself if the greens really needed to be that green 😂😘 Growth is part of the art.

{Billy loves Barbie}
For Love Day, I couldn’t think of anything sweeter than the love between a little boy and his big girl 🤍
Billy nearly five, the love of my life (apart from his Daddy) and Barbara, our 6 month old Great Dane cross (AKA Barbie, Big Girl, Babs & Woofy Choofy).
He adores her… but like real siblings, also finds her extremely annoying.
“Mummy! Barbie is distracting me!” is a daily occurrence 😂
Two best friends. Silly hats. Ice creams. Pure love.
