A slice of Australia’s motoring history still standing proudly in the main street of Holbrook.

Years after Holden disappeared from new car showrooms, the old dealership signs remain, along with a few HSV's — a reminder of a brand that was part of Australian life for generations.

For many country towns, Holden wasn’t just a car company. It was part of the community. Lieschke Motors Holbrook.

Shellharbour Airport Wrap-Up!

As another month (or so) passes at Shellharbour Airport, it's time for a quick look back at some of the aircraft that have visited our local airfield.

With the recent loss of Link Airways services, many aviation enthusiasts are hoping Shellharbour can continue to thrive as a great place for spotting and aviation photography. While the regular airline traffic may have changed, there's still plenty happening on the apron and in the circuit.

The airport continues to see a healthy mix of training, recreational and business aviation, helping to keep things interesting for both pilots and photographers alike.

This collection includes a variety of aircraft captured over the past few weeks, including Skydive Australia Cessna 208 Caravans, Cirrus SR22s, a Lancair and a Van's RV-10, among others.

Two generations of rescue capability under one roof at Fire and Rescue NSW Station 304 Gosford.

The station’s newer Scania-based Rescue Pumper 304 sits alongside one of the station’s older rescue appliances, highlighting how rescue operations on the Central Coast have evolved over the years. From road crash rescue to complex technical incidents, Gosford remains one of FRNSW’s key rescue stations in the region.

The operators of the NSW Police Force Tactical Operations Unit (TOU) work in some of the most complex and high-risk environments encountered in policing.

Working alongside the Negotiations Unit, their primary objective is the safe resolution of incidents.

TOU deployments can include:

▪ Su***de interventions
▪ Sieges
▪ Kidnap and extortion incidents
▪ Major protests
▪ Counter-terrorism operations

Known by operator numbers rather than names, TOU personnel often operate with face coverings and identity protection measures in place during deployments, maintaining operational security and anonymity while carrying out their roles.

Often operating behind the scenes and away from public view, TOU provides specialist tactical capability and support during incidents that extend beyond routine policing operations.
