This sweet, fresh little family invited me into their home to capture the raw, real beauty of life with a newborn—breastfeeding, snuggles, nappy changes, breathing in that newborn scent... and all those quiet in-between moments that speak volumes.
The kind of noise that fades with time, but leaves a forever imprint on your heart. ❤️

That first chapter of being home with a newborn is one I’m fast discovering brings joy straight to my soul.

This photo was snapped on my iPhone - nothing fancy, just a moment that made my heart sing. Should I start taking my trusty camera with me on visits to the farm?

It's been six months now since realising Victoria isn't just a passing chapter - it's home. Something I never saw coming... but maybe that's the best kind of story.
Six months since heading out of town, and letting the country do what it does best: slow me down, fill me up, inspire me.
And quietly, it's lead me right back to where it all began - Outback Rose, my original business name. This name was a reflection that held so much of what I loved: raw, unfiltered beauty in rugged places. The country is where I first fell in love with storytelling through a lens. Now, i'm revisiting it - with more reverence, more dust, and eyes behind the camera that have seen a lot of life since then.

So, tell me...

~~ꜰʀᴏᴍ ᴛʜᴇ ᴀʀᴄʜɪᴠᴇꜱ~~
Finally, a bitta tide on the grid! 🌊
Nowadays living inland and rural, having a coastline is NOVEL!
Last year I had a rip roaring time visiting these two cheeky lovebirds in WA.
Now, you didn't ask for the low down on (one of) my favourite love story, but here gooooes!

When Courtney moved from South Africa to remote WA, she never could've guessed where life would take her. Living out in the middle of nowhere (Kalgoorlie!) in a foreign country in the middle of a pandemic? Brave. Packing up and moving across the country to rural Victoria? This woman is wild! Ready for the plot twist? She kindled a relationship with Sam—right as she was about to leave for Vic.

Long distance wasn't easy, but Sam & Courtney knew what mattered—so they made it work. Crazy overnight flights, road trips, countless video calls, and every little bit of effort to both keep and grow their connection. And then, after a year(ish) of the long-distance grind, Courtney packed up again and drove (back!) across the country like it was just a trip to Woolies. Nothing seems to phase these two, or Courtney's little Suzuki.

Now, they're here—finally in the same place, finally able to do life together, and finally able to go surfing without needing a boarding pass first.

Two absolute legends, one heck of a love story. 🏄‍♂️💛🌊

Good golly, time flies! Feels like just yesterday baby Ryder was fresh as a daisy.
Two-ish months ago, we captured those tiny hands, sleepy smiles, and two smitten first-time parents. Now he’s gearing up to take on the big wide world (or at least the next nappy blowout) 😂🩵

G’day!

I figured it’s probably time I showed my face around here!

I’m Candice, the wandering soul who’s swapped the wild Far North Queensland for the charm of rural Victoria. I can’t keep still in any sense of the word, and love exploring both places and meeting new people.
When I’m not dressed in nursing scrubs, I’m usually found where the people are, quite literally anywhere nationwide. Whoops!

With a passion for people and places and more energy than a toddler on a sugar rush, it’s no wonder I found my happy place behind the lens!

I’m not your typical photographer. This isn't just a job for me; it's a chance to connect with you on a deeper level and have us all walking away by the end with sore cheeks. I want to laugh with you, be absolute donkeys together, and capture all the fun along the way. My clients fill up my cup, and there’s no greater joy than having a front-row seat to a family of 2 or 10 hanging out and having an absolute ripper time! You won’t be bored or watching the clock—because I certainly won’t be! I’ll be too busy cackling. Usually, I feel guilty for having so much fun. Hehe.

Its a love story straight from a novel that made my heart burst!

Celo living an hour away, started attending Zoe's church - little did they know this was the start of their story. After countless conversations, coffee dates before worship nights, and a date at Zoe's favourite swimming hole... I reckon they had a fair idea this was the start of something very, very good.
Celo commuted almost daily to see his Zoe, and I can see why! These two share something so very precious; a love that only comes from knowing someone so intimately, with a shared desire to keep their faith at the centre of it all.

I simply can't wait for the wedding! I feel the privilege of a guest, not just the photographer as we all count down the days for these two to become one ♥️

When the matriarch of the family turns 80, it calls for a robust celebration! The day started young as faces were fresh, taking the opportunity to freeze these cherished moments in time whilst so many of them were able to be together. No doubt the day went well into the evening, this family sure know how to have a party! There was banter, scoffing, cackles of laughter, and a whole lotta love. This family have a full-bodied sense of humour, and I feel so honoured to have gotten to be a part of the day.

The next time you have an extended family gathering, grab the opportunity to get some fresh piccies for Nanna - she'll absolutely love it. ✨

Life is simple and full of joy when you spin around in a beautiful dress, or kick up a dust storm! Look through the lens of a child and stop and appreciate the simple joys in life ☀️

I want the time you spend with me to be quality time together! Life is so busy and goes by in an instant. These little people will all be grown up before we know it, soak it all in and freeze these precious moments in time. And for goodness sakes, kick up that dust and have a cracker time!
