It was the King's Birthday holiday here in Adelaide today....I wonder if HRH has visited Bali?

I imagine he has and he no doubt appreciated the tropical floral beauty that abounds across Indonesia; rather different beauty to the UK methinks :)

I am sitting here at my laptop, approximately 1 year from taking this picture in Keith.

As the rain pours down in Adelaide, I wonder about this soul in the South-East of our State.

No shelter and a bare paddock.

This unique creature could easily be dead by now, but if not?

Are they still out in the weather? Is the weather just like this?

Just one shelter shed could make all the difference.....

Please keep asking the questions.

How many rescue groups do you know who specialise in the rehoming of older animals?

We often see kittens and puppies being advertised and also animals under 2, but the oldies?

I often think of the animals relinquished by the elderly (or their families), after their human's ill-health or death has rendered the animal homeless.

Any other ideas?

A reminder that sheep like these darlings are not provided protection from the weather under South Australian law.

So as I sit here having had the heater on tonight, typing at my laptop with my slippers and jumper on, these two are out in the freezing cold in Keith.

My dog has easy access to food, water, treats and is snuggled under a quilt on my chair, but 'livestock' have no such protection in SA.

We can do better.
