International Women’s Day is a time to honour the social, economic, political and cultural achievements of women. It is a day for unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action towards gender equality for all.

First proposed by Clara Zetkin at the International Conference of Socialist Women in Copenhagen in 1910, International Women’s Day has long stood as a call for equality and progress. It is an important moment to reflect on how far we have come, to recognise the work still to be done, and to celebrate the courage and determination of ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in shaping history.

The last wedding I photographed was for my dearest pal Lorena Delaine and Adrian Bilinsky! I was also her bridesmaid, which was a first ever for me! It was a superb occassion and of course I had some recommendations and ideas - so glad they took my advice and got Lucy Suze Celebrant and MC for their celebrant! Last night I photographed amazing students receiving their awards for raising money for the local women’s shelters. These young people are raising awareness for domestic violence and money for the women who have been brutalised. It was an incredible night with speakers and and and Professor Steven Roberts. The work of to inspire and educate students is remarkable, positive and is making a huge difference.
